Wrexham have lost only once in 18 Vanarama National League fixtures, but they are still facing a dogfight to stay in the play-off places.
The problem for the Dragons is that they have drawn 12 of those 18 matches – earning 12 points out of a maximum 36 from those fixtures – and have slid to sixth place.
The latest result for Wrexham was a 1-1 draw against Eastleigh in Hampshire and manager Andy Davies said: “Frustrated. Disappointed. Going in to injury time it was almost the perfect away performance.

“We were firm, scored the early goal and created a number of chances. They went down to 10 men, but in the end it’s the same story again after recent weeks.”
Wrexham’s bid to earn a play-offs spot is certainly becoming a rough one after they failed to make the most of an early lead from the penalty spot – Scott Quigley on target – and the dismissal of Eastleigh centre-half Andrew Boyce.
The Spitfires forced an injury time equaliser and Wrexham travelled back to North Wales feeling frustrated.
Kent club Ebbsfleet United pose the next threat to Wrexham on Tuesday. That match is at Stonebridge Road (7.45pm) and the Reds badly need a first win in four matches.
They conceded an injury time equaliser when Ryan Cresswell managed to poke the ball home following a corner.
Ebbsfleet have not lost for more than two months and will pose a tough test for Wrexham, rising to ninth after an eight match unbeaten run.
