Wales Rugby League will be holding two trials for their Student international side that will compete in the Student Four Nations Championships in Scotland this summer.
The first trial will be at the official WRL training base of Deeside Leisure Centre on Sunday January 20 from 10.30am.
Then a week later in South Wales, Sunday January27, there is a further trial at the Caerphilly Centre of Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach from 2.30pm.
From these trials, a squad of 30 will be selected. This squad will then train and play two or three warm up games, after which the final squad of 20 players will be selected to participate in the Student Four Nations.
Wales Students head coach Paul Emanuelli said: “The overall goal for 2019 is to improve on last year’s performance where we finished third in the Four Nations.
“The programme that we have now gives us more time to fully prepare players, and having trials at both ends of Wales, gives lads from all areas the opportunity to represent their country.”
Trialists need to send their details through to Wales Rugby League before Friday January 18 for the north trial and Friday 25 January for the south trial.
Please submit your information at https://walesrugbyleague.co.uk/student_registration
Evidence of eligibility to play for Wales must also be proved. For Wales Students, players must either be born in Wales, have Welsh parents or grandparents, or must be studying full-time at a Welsh education establishment.
Trialists must be aged 17 or over by September 1 2019.
