Welsh sprint sensation Hannah Brier has set her sights on the future after finishing sixth in the World Junior 100m Championships in Poland.
The Swansea Harrier clocked 11.60 secs in the final in Bydgoszcz – having equalled her lifetime best of 11.39secs in the semi-final.
The 18-year-old said: “I came into the competition ranked 12th in the world and have finished sixth so I am so happy.
“I was a little disappointed with the time but running a personal best in the semi took it out of me, perhaps more than I thought.
“I came here wanting to get to the final and I have done that so it is a really successful champs for me.”
Brier saw American Candace Hill win in 11.07secs from Poland’s Ewa Swoboda (11.12s) and Khalifa St Fort (11.18s) from Trinidad and Tobago.
Her British team-mate Imani Lansiquot finished fourth in the final with a time of 11.37s after also running quicker in the rounds.
