Entries have opened ahead of a planned full schedule of Championship Golf in Wales in 2021.
After the effects of the pandemic on the 2020 playing season, all major Championships within Wales are planned to go ahead this summer with safe and secure COVID-19 protocols in place.
One change to the originally released fixtures sees the Welsh Amateur Championship head to Pyle & Kenfig in late July, with Prestatyn unable to fulfil the Championship at this time.
Pyle & Kenfig have been synonymous with championship golf in recent years, playing host to both the Welsh Open Stroke Play and British Amateur Championships within the last five years.
“There is no doubt Pyle & Kenfig will prove to be a fantastic host venue for our Men’s Amateur Championship” said David Wilson, Wales Golf’s Championship Manager.
“It is of course disappointing Prestatyn are no longer in a position to host this year’s Championship and we look forward to returning to the club in the future.
“Whilst nothing can be guaranteed during this current climate, we hope to once again be crowning a full range of National Champions through 2021.”
