Wales will return to play at the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham for the first in 10 years for an international challenge match against Trinidad and Tobago on March 20 next year.

The game will be the first match of  2019 for Ryan Giggs’ side as they prepare for their first EURO 2020 qualifying match against Slovakia in Cardiff four days later.

Wales have only faced Trinidad & Tobago once previously, back in May 2006. The teams met on neutral ground at the UPC Arena in Graz, Austria where Robert Earnshaw netted twice in a 2-1 victory.

Giggs said: “I’m delighted that we’re able to play at the Racecourse for the first time in 10 years.

“We thoroughly enjoyed taking the team there for an open training session in May. The support was incredible and further fuelled our ambition to host a match at the historic ground.

“Trinidad & Tobago will prove an interesting test for us and will be great preparation ahead of the EURO 2020 qualifying campaign.”
