Geraint Thomas will spearhead Team Sky’s challenge at the Paris-Nice race which starts on Saturday.
The Cardiff racer will be looking for back-to-back wins following his victory in the Volta ao Algarve last month.
Thomas will be joined by fellow Welshman Luke Rowe in Sky’s eight-strong team.
The 29-year-old will be up against former team-mate Richie Porte who he helped to win the famous eight-day race last year.
Thomas, who finished fifth overall last year, will be looking to see off the Aussie this time to further stake his claim to be a Grand Tour contender.
He will also be back up by fellow Brits Ian Stannard and Ben Swift along with Ian Boswell, Sergio Henao, Mikel Nieve and Nicolas Roche.
