Aaron Ramsey’s future at Cardiff City looks uncertain after manager Omer Riza admitted injuries were undermining his Wales star. Riza has revealed that Ramsey’s succession of injuries have delayed his comeback plans because they have torpedoed his schedule.

So, Gerwyn Price did not make it to the semi-finals of the World Championship, but it was a good tournament for him and for Welsh darts. Not only did Price rekindle some of his best form to reach the last eight, but Wales had three players in the round of 16.

Mark Jones paid tribute to the Ospreys’ fighting spirit as they put Cardiff’s recent revival into sharper perspective with a deserved 13-13 draw at the Arms Park. The new Ospreys coach watched his team come from behind to level the scores and eventually leave feeling they should have won, despite playing most of the match with only 14 men.

Cardiff City manager Omer Riza plans to appeal the red card handed out to Callum Robinson by replacement referee James Durkin in his side’s 1-1 home draw with Coventry City. The Bluebirds dominated the first half and opened the scoring within six minutes with a goal from Alex Robertson.

The luckless flanker has been plagued by injuries over the past few years, including a ruptured Achilles, knee ligament damage, shoulder surgery and hamstring issues. That’s severely limited his regional appearances - just three last season - and restricted him to only the two Wales caps.

Robert Owen’s fairytale run at the World Darts Championship is over after he just failed to make the quarter-finals. The Bridgend thrower - who surged from nowhere into the last 16 to clinch his PDC tour card for 2025 - lost 4-3 to Englishman Callan Rydz. Owen led  2-0 and looked on course for a place in the last eight alongside fellow Welshman Gerwyn Price, but Rydz booked his spot in the quarter-finals for the second time in his career with a brilliant comeback.
