Francesco Guidolin has revealed his future as Swansea City manager will be confirmed in the next two weeks.
The Italian expects to learn his fate before the final game of the season at home to Manchester City.
Guidolion wants to carry on next season though Brendan Rodgers remains the hot-favourite to return to the Liberty Stadium next season.
The 60-year-old said: “I am easy, I am calm. Que sera, sera.
“I have spoken to the chairman and our conversations continue. He told me in two weeks he will make a decision for the future.
“I think I will know before we play Manchester City, but it is not important. It is not news for me.
“I was called to get us away from the relegation places and I have done that, what was important was to save Swansea.
“But I would be sad to leave. I like it here and I would like to have the chance to prepare the team for a new season, that is important for any manager.”
The Swans are 10 points above the relegation zone and know victory at table-toppers Leicester on Sunday – managed by his old friend Claudio Ranieri – would make them mathematically safe.
He added: “If we win the game we are safe. If we lose another then we are looking at what the teams below us are doing.
“We do not want to be doing that. We want to finish the season well.
“The fixture list for us is difficult because our opponent have important targets – like Leicester, Liverpool, West Ham, Man City – so it is important we go without fear but with courage. This is important.”
