Peter Creed’s hopes at the BlackBall Open in Cairo were ended with a first round defeat.
The 31-year-old from Caerphilly was beaten 11-5, 11-3, 11-7 by Leicester-born George Parker.
Creed went into the $180,500 event having slipped to 58 on the PSA World rankings from last month’s position of 50
And Parker, now based in Birmingham and having reached a career high 38 in the rankings, proved too strong in their 26-minute long contest.
