Tesni Evans bowed out of the Black Ball Open in Cairo after a second round defeat against Joelle King.
The 26-year-old took the first game against the number three seed from New Zealand who she has been rooming with in Egypt.
But King responded by reeling off the next three games to win 7-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-8 in 51 minutes.
Evans had beaten the higher ranked King in their previous two meetings on the PSA Tour.
But the Cardiff-born British champion, ranked 10 in the world, could not make it a hat-trick against the Kiwi.
