Harrison Walsh has shattered the F44 world shot put record at the Para-athletics Grand Prix in Grosseto.
The Mumbles-born thrower produced a superb first round effort of 15.73m in the Italian city to etch his name into the record books.
Walsh took up athletics after seeing his rugby career ended by a freak injury while playing for Swansea RFC.

The 23-year-old’s potential was spotted and this summer he has already been on a Welsh Athletics/Disability Sport Wales training camp in Portugal.
And though the F44 shot is not a Paralympic Games event, it is on the schedule for the World Para-athletics Championships in Dubai later this year.
