Owain Doull will make his Team Sky debut at Paris-Tours this weekend.

The Cardiff-born Olympic champ has switched to Sky from WIGGINS as a stagiare (amateur) for the rest of this season before joining permanently from 2017.

Doulll will be joined by fellow Cardiff flier Luke Rowe who will use the race as preparation for next week’s World Road Race Championships in Qatar.

The 26-year-old Doull’s last race outing came at the Tour of Britain in September.

He used the week-long race to hone his road form having focussed on the track where he won gold with Bradley Wiggins in the Team Pursuit in Rio in August
