Newtown eased themselves into the end of season play-offs with a record away victory as they crushed already-relegated Airbus UK 7-0.
With the Robins needing three points to make absolutely sure of their play-off spot, Alex Fletcher gave the Mid-Walians the perfect start putting his side ahead with just five minutes on the clock.
Kieran Mills-Evans then extended their lead on 20 minutes before a Shane Sutton header and Jason Oswell brace saw Newtown take a whopping six goal lead in at the break.
After Oswell was fouled amidst a scramble in the goalmouth, the striker then claimed his third hat-trick of the season from the penalty spot.
With a 22 goal tally this season, Oswell is now all but certain to claim the WPL Golden Boot with a seven-goal advantage over closest challenger Alex Darlington of The New Saints.
Chris Hughes side have completed a remarkable turnaround in Phase 2 which has seen the one-time relegation candidates now put themselves in contention for Europe.
Results this weekend confirmed that they will face Bangor City in their WPL Play-Off semi-final with Cardiff Met to face Carmarthen (home advantage not yet confirmed) in the other tie.
The winners of the play-off will join gap Connah’s Quay and Barry Town in this summer’s UEFA Europa League qualifying draw.
