Menna Fitzpatrick claimed her third Paralympic medal with silver in the women’s visually impaired giant slalom in PyeongChang.
The 19-year-old Welsh star added to her super combined silver and super-G bronze medals with guide Jen Kehoe.
The duo clocked two minutes 28.34 seconds over the two runs.
That left them 5.34secs behind Henrieta Farkasova and Natalia Subrtova as the Slovakian’s claimed their fourth gold medal.
Macclesfield-born Fitzpatrick and Kehoe were second after the opening run, 3.62 seconds behind the Slovakian pair and could not close the gap on the final run.
But it has been a superb response from the duo since they crashed out from their opening downhill event to win three of the five GB medals at the Paralympics.
“I feel immensely proud of what we did out there,” said Fitzpatrick to BBC Sport.
“We definitely went out there and tried our very best. I was shattered by the end. We gave it our all.
“We were completely relaxed and just went for it.
“After the fall we just had to be strong and overcome it and show our best skiing to the world and what we are made of.”
GB’s Kelly Gallagher and Gary Smith were fifth, with compatriots Millie Knight and Brett Wild seventh.
People will have to accept my apologies that I can not get exited about this at a time when thousands of Disabled people have suffered and live in misery, poverty and even committed suicide as a direct result of the policies of the Tory government in cutting Benefits, and Sanctioning Benefits, Cuts in Access to Work Grants forcing Disabled Worker out of their Jobs, huge Cutis to Social Care Services and the NHS which directly affect the quality of life faced by many disabled people. While the same people now cheering on these Disabled Athletes have turned a “Blind Eye” to the suffering all done in their name to appease the demands of the ideologues of Austerity to ensure that Wealthy individuals and Corporations get their Tax Cuts
