Fellow Brit Laura Muir won the race in a world-leading time of 3:57.40.
The Scot led a British one-two with Laura Weightman, who clocked a PB of 4:00.09.
Australia’s Jessica Hull was third in 4:00.42.
Wales’ Commonwealth Games bronze medalist has won over 1500m in Helsinki and Stockholm this season.
And she set her personal best of 4:01.81 finishing third at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting in August.
Swansea Harrier Hayley Tullett holds the Welsh record of 3:59.95 set in 2003.
