Great Britain have named their captaincy team for the World Under-18 Championship fixtures.
GB, whose team includes Cardiff Fire’s Lewis Davies, are playing in Division Two group A against hosts Estonia, Australia, Korea, Lithuania and Poland.
Sheffield Steelers forward Liam Kirk will captain the team with Jordan Buesa (Solway/Braehead) and Ben Solder (OHA, Canada) assistants.
Head coach, Tony Hand, said: “This is a good leadership team. They have respect in the dressing room and they lead by example on the ice.
“Having the right captaincy team is important and I think this is the perfect trio for the championship.”
GB are already in Estonia as part of the pre-championship camp and they face Poland in a warm-up game this evening.
The six-team World Championship tournament runs from Sunday, April 1 to Saturday, April 7
Lewis, from Barry, is a former Ysgol Bro Morgannwg pupil who has been in outstanding form for National League Fire this season and earned his selection with a series of big performances.
Fellow Fire netminder Jordan Lawday, aged 19, started for Britain in the World Under-20 Championships earlier this season.
