Kody Davies Make It Five From Five At York Hall

Kody Davies extended his unbeaten run as a professional to five fights as he comfortably beat Eric Mokonzo over four rounds on Fight Night at York Hall.

The 23-year-old super middleweight from Pontllanfraith put Mokonzo down with a brutal punch in the second round and was always in command of the contest as he added to his growing reputation in the pro ranks with a 40-37 points win.

In his previous fight Davies – who is trained by Gavin Rees and signed to SJam Boxing and Hayemaker Ringstar Promotions – appeared on the O2 bill on the undercard of the David Hay v Tony Bellew bill.

Davies tuned pro after competing as a heavyweight for Wales at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and then making the GB Lionhearts squad.
