Dean Keates insists Wrexham are still a work in progress after Alex Reid’s strike gave them a 1-0 National League win at Boreham Wood.
On-loan Fleetwood Town striker Reid netted from a Paul Rutherford corner just past the hour mark to make it three goals in four games.
The Bank Holiday Monday win – which followed up the 1-0 victory over Woking on Saturday – lifted Keates’ side to fourth just three points leaders leaders Sutton United.
But Keates, speaking to BBC Wales Sport, said: “It was very pleasing.
“We had a lot of pressure put on us, especially in the last 15 minutes, and we had a bit of luck but in the end I think we deserved it.
“On another day we could have had quite a few goals. Obviously we work on set pieces and now we’ve had two goals from them in our last two games.
“But we are still a work in progress. There’s still things that need ironing out.”
The Dragons are at home on Saturday to Bromley at the Racecourse Ground
