Wales’ golden taekwondo duo Jade Jones and Lauren Williams were both triumphant at the President’s Cup in Athens.
Double Olympic champ Jones won the -57kg category in her first competition for four months.
And Gwent’s World Junior and European senior champ Williams again showed her potential with victory in the -67kg category.
Jones was competing for the first time since taking a break to take part in the reality tv series The Jump.
But the Flint fighter showed her class to beat Russian Ekaterina Kim 18-6 in the final.
Now Jones wants World Championships gold in South Korea in June to claim the one major medal missing from her collection.
The 24-year-old said: “It feels great to be back after a long time off.
“I did miss it but I have really got the hunger back now. I am really buzzing to get a gold medal in my first competition back.
“I’m getting ready for the World Championships now and have two months to prepare. I really want to tick that last major title off my list.”
Teenage talent Williams triumphed after a titanic battle against Sweden’s Elin Johannson.
The prolific Scandinavian star levelled the scores at 10-all with a head shot in the latter stages of the last round only for Williams to find a late winner.
She had already survived an equally close encounter in the semi-final against Turkey’s Nur Tatar.
The match finished 23-22 in Williams favour thanks to a punch in the closing seconds to defeat the double Olympic medallist.
