Gerwyn Price could face an all-Wales clash when he begins his bid for the William Hill World Darts Championship later this month.

The No 3 seed has been drawn against either countryman Jamie Lewis or Luke Woodhouse in the second round.

Price, the world No 3, gets a first-round bye for the championships which start at London’s Alexandra Palace on December 15.

Lewis, the 2018 semi-finalist, booked his place in the championships from this week’s final qualifying event in Coventry.

The 29-year-old from Carmarthen took time off the PDC Tour earlier this year but now could face a tantalisingly early battle with the Markham darter.

Pontyberem’s Jonny Clayton also gets a first-round bye as 17th seed and will face either John Henderson or Marko Kantele when he first takes to the oche.

Newport’s Nick Kenny will mark his first year on the tour with an Alexandra Palace bow against Derk Telnekes for the right to face 24th seed Jermaine Wattimena in the second round.

Scotland’s Peter Wright will begin his defence of the Sid Waddell Trophy against either Steve West or Amit Gilitwala.
