Joe Ledley is looking for a new club after opting to terminate his contract at Derby County.
The 32-year-old had played just four games for the Rams since Frank Lampard took over as manager during the summer.
Ledley took the decision saying he could not ‘sit and watch’ football and was keen to find regular game time.
“I made the decision to terminate my contract with the club prior to the transfer window closing to give myself the opportunity to move on somewhere in the world of football and continue my career,” said the midfielder on twitter.
“I have never been the kind of person who can sit and watch football and not be playing play week in, week out,” Ledley said on Twitter.
Ledley has played for Cardiff City, Celtic and Crystal Palace while his 77 Welsh caps include helping his country reach the semi-finals of Euro 2016 in France.
But as one Wales midfielder left Derby on transfer deadline day another arrived with Andy King making the switch from Leicester City.
