Fishlock Set For History Books With 100th Wales Cap

Jess Fishlock is poised to make history after being included in the Wales squad for two friendlies against Northern Ireland in April.

The Cardiff-born player will be the first Wales women international to win a 100th cap if named in the starting line-up for the games.

Fishlock has been playing for Melbourne in the Australia women’s league where she also coached the team in the final few weeks of the season.

Jayne Ludlow’s side face Northern Ireland at the Centre of Excellence, Ystrad Mynach, on April 5 (4pm KO) and April 7 (11amKO).

Ludlow will be using the double header as preparation for the upcoming Women’s World Cup Qualifying campaign.

The Wales coach has also called up Cardiff City Ladies’ Ffion Morgan, currently in Bosnia and Herzegovina competing in the UEFA Women’s U17 Championship Elite Round, and WPWL Cyncoed midfielder, Gwennan Davies.
