Leroy Fer is keen to turn his loan deal at Swansea City into a permanent move after staving off a Premier League relegation hat-trick.
The Dutch midfielder has impressed since joining on a temporary basis from Queens Park Rangers helping Francesco Guidolins men finish the season on a high.
Now Fer wants to stay at the Liberty Stadium rather than head back to his Championship outfit though that might depend on the price tag.
The 26-year-old said: “I’ve enjoyed it a lot these last four months. I gelled in very quickly.
“In the first two games I sat on the bench, but I knew my chance was going to come.
“I came in, started against Arsenal, and from there I haven’t really been out of the first XI.
“I’m very positive, I’m very happy and hopefully in the future I can sign a deal.
“I’m waiting, I’m going on holiday and the clubs have to sort it out, but I’m very happy.
“I’ve enjoyed my stay here and I want to be more important for Swansea because the four months have gone well.
“I still think I can improve and hopefully I can stay.”
Fer was relegated with previous club Norwich and also suffered the same fate when he made the £8million switch to Loftus Road.
But he avoided an unwanted hat-trick with the Swans whose draw with Manchester City on Sunday saw them round-off a roller-coaster campaign in 12th spot.
Fer added: “I got relegated two years in a row and I tweeted something a couple of weeks ago, saying “finally I stayed in the Premier League”.
“It’s a big relief and I needed that.
“But in this squad we have too many good players to go down. We’ve shown that in the last four months and we are unbeaten in the last five games at home.
“We have faced some good teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. It’s been a good four months and hopefully next season we can crack on.
“For me, it’s just about waiting now and hopefully we can sort something.
“I was happy at QPR, but I always said I wanted to be playing at the highest level and the Premier League is an amazing league.
“I’ve enjoyed these last four months very much. It’s very easy with the boys because they treated me like I was one of them from the first day
