Dafydd ‘Post’ Evans and co-driver Carl ‘Slate’ Jones won the Rali Dyffryn Twymyn at the weekend, as Ford Escorts dominated the Dovey Valley Motor Club organised event.

They finished ahead of Mark Lennox/Jorden Lennox, with Richard Williams/Lewis Morgan coming home third.

Osian Pryce/Dale Furniss led the Machynlleth-based event after the first test, but retired their Ford Fiesta ST soon afterward.

“It was a short day at Rali Dyffryn Twymyn,” said Pryce. “It was fun while it lasted and we’re gutted we didn’t make it to the nicer tests, but the driveshaft didn’t want to play ball on test seven, for the second time in a row! A great effort by the organisation team, marshals and landowners kept us busy throughout. It was a good craic!”
