Scott Davies slipped out of the top 10 overall at the OVO Energy Tour of Britain after the Team Time Trial on Thursday.
The Carmarthenshire rider dropped three places to 13th after his Team Dimension Data finished 12th on stage five.
Davies’ outfit were one minute 22 seconds slower than the time of 19minutes 37seconds clocked by Team Lotto NL Jumbo over the 14km course from Cockermouth to Whinlatter Pass.
That saw Slovakia’s Primo Roglic inherit the leaders jersey with three stages left with Davies one minute 32 seconds behind.
Geraint Thomas’ Team Sky set the fourth fastest time 26 seconds slower that the benchmark for the testing course.

Wales’ Tour de France champ moved up 11 places as a result from 53rd to 42nd in the overall standings – five minutes nine seconds behind Roglic.
Stevie Williams is 33rd overall (+4:01) with Jon Mould 91st (+19:39)
