Defender Connell Rawlinson has left Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints to join League 2 outfit Port Vale on a one-year-contract.
Rawlinson, who captained the Wales ‘C’ international side earlier this season, ends an eight-year association with Saints, during which time he amassed six league titles, four Welsh Cups and five League Cups.
Rawlinson made 24 league appearances this season but was unable to agree terms on a new deal to remain at Park Hall next season.
Port Vale, who finished 20th in League 2, have been the 26-year-old’s progress since February.
Rawlinson’s departure was proceed by confirmation of a further eight players whose contracts have expired.
Scottish defender Steve Saunders and Wes Fletcher, who scored six goals in 13 WPL appearances this term head the list of departures.
Full-back Ryan Pryce, who has previously trialled with Middlesbrough, and winger Robbie Parry, who spent time on loan with Llandudno last season, are among those leaving.
Deputy goalkeeper Andy Wycherley and youngsters Aron Hughes Jones, Jacob Farleigh and Aaron Jones complete the list.
