Charlotte Carey made it two wins out of two at the Spain Masters with a 3-1 victory over Ainhoa Cristobal in Madrid.
The 24-year-old followed up her victory over Spain’s world-ranked No 73 Maria Xiao with a convincing win over the Spanish junior champion.
Ebbw Vale-born Carey has gone into the tournament having triumphed at the Vic International last month as table tennis returned following the COVID-19 suspension.

Carey, ranked 152 in the world, will be looking to claim another higher-ranked scalp in her final group game in the event which is being played in a strict bubble.
Wales’ six-time national champ, now based in Spain, faces world No 125 Sofia-Xuan Zhang.
The Spaniard is also unbeaten having defeated Xiao and Cristobal in the four-person group.
