Worby was the 2019 Girls Order of Merit winner in Wales and also won the Welsh Girls’ title in 2018.

And Worby, who plays out of the Newport Links course, was one of three players confirmed by the university for their golf programme.

“I am extremely excited about this signing class,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. “To have three players – one local, one from out of state and one international – is a wonderful balance I like to maintain.

“But the most balance I like to have is talent, and these three all possess that.

“Carys is a young lady that I have watched for the past couple of years while recruiting overseas.

“She is a solid ball striker and has a great touch around the greens. We are excited to call her an Auburn Tiger.” – Luellen
