Perry Ng has been one of the few Cardiff City consistent success stories this season, during a campaign that has had plenty of ups and downs.
Before last weekend’s 2-1 home victory over Southampton, Bluebirds manager Erol Bulut confirmed that a number of other clubs had enquired about the availability of Ng ahead of the summer transfer window.
While he didn’t name who was interested, he did say that there are clubs both from the UK and abroad interested in the 27-year-old utility player.
So, what options does Ng have? And what clubs could look to pry him away from the south Wales outfit this summer?

Luton Town
While it looks more likely with each game that passes that Luton Town will be relegated this season, you can’t help but look at the squad that Rob Edwards has built and think they are going to be contenders to go straight back up next season should that happen.
Considering The Hatters’ current right back Issa Kabore is only on loan from Manchester City, and they have no like-for-like replacement in the squad should they go down, Luton could well turn their attention to Ng.
The Cardiff man has an impressive attacking return this season, scoring six and assisting four in 43 appearances this season.
Given Luton’s gung-ho type approach to Premier League football – looking to have their wing-backs overlap during the game – this could give Ng the chance to move to a club with a good chance of getting back to the Premier League, whilst also making a significant contribution in the process.

Everton
With Everton set to move into a new stadium this summer, but having already being docked points this season for breaching financial fair play rules, Ng could offer them a relatively cheap option at right back this summer.
The fact that Everton’s two current right back options, Ashley Young and Sheamus Coleman are 38 and 35 respectively, means bringing in Ng would reduce the average age of that position and offer them energy, make him look a credible transfer target this summer.

Brighton
This might seem a bit of a stretch, but Brighton’s lack of a fully fit traditional right-back could leave to door open for them to look for another hidden gem, something that they have a proven track record of doing.
While Ng himself is set to miss the rest of the season with injury, when you look at his injury record compared to Tariq Lamptey’s, it’s night and day.
Ng had played near enough every minute of Cardiff’s season up until his very recent injury, so he is someone who Brighton could rely on to stay fit.
The player of Singaporean heritage would also offer them versatility, having the ability to play as a centre back in a back three, which Brighton have played on occasions this season.
So, Ng could offer cover at centre back should the Premier League club have injuries or suspensions there.
