Holywell Town battled to a 1-0 away win at Holyhead Hotspur thanks to a goal from club captain Steve Thomas.
The second half strike proved to be the only goal of the Huws Gray Alliance match on Anglesey and the Wellmen are second in the table behind leaders Caernarfon Town.
Holywell player Phil Lloyd said: “Brilliant. We could have scored more, Holyhead is one of the toughest places in the league to go.
“We’ll take a 1-0 win all day long.
“Get in boys! Nothing beats that winning feeling.”
Holyhead should have gone ahead when they were awarded a penalty midway through the first half. Matty Harvey was adjudged to have fouled Kenleigh Owen, who took the spot-kick himself.
Wellmen keeper Shaun Pearson dived to his right and pulled off a terrific save to deny Owen.
The second half was less than five minutes old when the Wellmen took the lead through Thomas. The ball was played into the box from the left and Thomas controlled the ball before lifting the ball over the oncoming Paul Pritchard and the ball settled into the bottom corner.
Holywell’s next fixture is against Ruthin Town at Halkyn Road next Saturday (2.30pm).
Former Cardiff Met University student Joe Chaplin fired a hat-trick for Porthmadog in their 5-4 win at Rhyl.
Sion Bradley scored for Port after nine minutes before Alun Webb replied with a quicker double, netting after 25 and 28 minutes to put Rhyl in front.
Chaplin’s first of the match levelled the scores before Alan Titchiner (41) gave Rhyl a 3-2 lead and an own goal by Porthmadog’s Tom Taylor gave the home team a two-goal cushion.
Port roared back through Chaplin (59 and 70 mins) plus Sion Edwards (80) to snatch a 5-4 victory.
It was a fitting way for Chaplin to make his mark, returning from injury to scored his treble.
Manager Craig Papirnyk said on twitter: “All credit to the the Port players for that result. Going 4-2 down is hard enough, but they stuck together, didn’t give up and turned it around. Fantastic 3pts and great support again as well.”

Flint Town manager Niall McGuinness enjoyed the first win since he took charge. He introduced two new signings, Jack Lewis and Jacob Lever, to the starting line-up with a third, Jack Stewart, going on from the bench.
Luke Tyson was man of the match for Flint in a 4-0 win against Queens Park in his final appearance for the club before he leaves for Australia next week.
Tyson hit a post when the score was 0-0, firing at goal from just outside the penalty area.
Flint went ahead just before the half hour when Tyson flicked on a long throw and Carl Rogers fired home from close range.
Alan Bull’s shot hit the Queens Park bar and then, after 53 minutes, he went for goal again. The effort was blocked, but the ball ran to Tyson, who calmly steered the ball into the corner of he net.
Rob Jones made it 3-0 with a shot from 25 yards which took a deflection and flew into the top corner.
The scoring was completed after 81 minutes when Bull scored from a Chris Budrys cross.

Denbigh welcomed leaders Caernarfon Town to Central Park for a crucial match. The home were seven points behind the Cofis going into the fixture with a game in hand.
A win would have edged Denbigh closer, but the match ended 3-3 and the margin remains the same.
Former team manager Richard Williams-Cooke is back with Denbigh to assist Eddie Maurice-Jones and that looks a strong partnership, while Caernarfon have added Shaun Cavanagh to their squad.
Cavanagh is from Caernarfon, while he has played for Bangor City and Llandudno in Welsh Premier League football.
“Having been born and bred in the town I’ve always said that I would like to play for Caernarfon one day and it’s fantastic to be given this opportunity,” said Cavanagh. “My aim is to help the team into the Welsh Premier.”
Warren Duckett put Denbigh ahead after nine minutes, while Caernarfon equalised from a Nathan Craig penalty and the score was 1-1 at half-time.
Andrew Swarbrick scored to put Denbigh ahead for a second time (47 mins) and Craig Pritchard made it 3-1 (51).
Caernarfon responded by making a double substitution with Kevin Roberts and Cavanagh making way for Jay Gibbs and Kevin Lloyd to replace them.
Pressure was now on the Denbigh goal and a goalmouth scramble saw shots being blocked at close range by home defenders. The ball broke to right-back Joe Williams who hit a fierce drive through a bunch of players and into the net to make it 3-2 on 61 minutes.
Caernarfon had Rhys Roberts sent off for a second bookable offence, but the 10-man Cofis finished in style. They equalised from a 90th minute penalty converted by Nathan Craig, his second of the game, with the last kick.
Denbigh now have an away fixture at Llandudno Junction on Saturday (January 13, 2pm).

A late goal from Cledan Davies earned Penryn a hard-earned away point
Ruthin Town won 2-1 against Guilsfield.
Alliance top scorer Llyr Morris scored his 19th goal of the season to fire Ruthin ahead.
Jordon MacCarter doubled that advantage before Asa Hamilton pulled a goal back for Guilsfield, who finished the game with nine men after the dismissals of Stuart Rogers and Adam Jenkins.
