Brothers Neil and Sean Eardley will get together with their families for Christmas dinner – and then set off on separate promotion missions.
The Llandudno-born Eardleys are both with clubs challenging for promotion.
Neil will leave the Christmas get-together and head for Lincoln City where he will play for the home team against Stevenage in League Two.
The Imps travel to play Newport County at Rodney Parade in South Wales this Saturday as they aim to maintain a challenge for a place in League One.
They are currently in a play-off spot and former Wales international Neil is a key player for Lincoln.
Sean, meanwhile, can rest up this Saturday when his Caernarfon Town team are without a fixture before they play Porthmadog in a Huws Gray Alliance local derby on Boxing Day (3pm).
Port make the 20-miles trip to play in-form leaders Caernarfon at their Oval Stadium.
There is one promotion place available in the chase to earn a place in the top tier of Welsh football and Caernarfon are out in front.
They won 5-0 against nine-man Penrhyncoch in their latest match and manager Sean is delighted with their progress since he took charge after the departure of Iwan Williams to Llandudno FC.
“I’m made up with the lads,” says Sean. “The pleasing thing is that when Penrhyncoch went down to 10 men and then nine we continued with good habits.
“The players have been working hard, training with real intensity.

“The atmosphere at our ground for the Porthmadog game will be up there with our Welsh Cup tie against Barry. The Coffi Army were exceptional that day.
“I have a lot of respect for Porthmadog. That is a fantastic club. They have top drawer players and prepare properly.
“It’s not a revenge mission after they defeated us 2-0 in the League Cup because they deserved their win that day.
“But we are looking forward to another big occasion.”
Joe Chaplin and Cai Jones scored twice in two second half minutes for Porthmadog in that cup tie and took their team through to the next round.
Sean’s dream of becoming a successful professional footballer ended when he was 19-years-old and playing for Oldham Athletic.
He had been tipped to become the next golden boy of Welsh football, but a rare heart complaint forced him to hang up his boots.
“It was a real hammer blow when doctors told me what was wrong,” he said at the time. “It was like being hit by a freight train.
“Doctors said my heart would not stand up to the rigour of being a professional.
“It just devastated me. I loved football as soon as I could kick a ball. It’s every young lad’s dream to become a footballer, isn’t it? It’s all I ever wanted.
“My ultimate dream was to lead my beloved team Liverpool out at Anfield and Wales out one day.”
Tragedy struck when Sean collapsed at home while enjoying a kick-about in his back garden with his 17-year-old brother Neal.
Now Sean has found a new ambition in management and he would love to lead Caernarfon into the Welsh Premier League.
“I am thrilled and buzzing for the challenge,” he says. “I am in the hot seat now and the fans have been different class since I have come in. I owe them a lot of gratitude.”
Caernarfon are among five Alliance clubs who have applied for the Football Association of Wales dirt one licence, along with Airbus Broughton, Flint Town United, Porthmadog, Rhyl.
Only one club will go up. The successful team will finish in the top two and above those who are also granted the licence.
In South Wales Llanelli Town and Penybont are the Welsh League clubs who have applied for the licence.
