Canadian winger Junior Hoilett was voted Cardiff City players’ player of the season at the Bluebirds’ awards night at the Holland House Hotel.
Owner Vincent Tan, chairman Mehmet Dalman, Neil Warnock and his team were among 450 guests at the presentation evening held a few hours after City clinched promotion to the Premier League.
Lifelong Cardiff fan Steve Borley, who was born in a street next to the old Ninian Park stadium, is a director of the club and he said: “I never thought I’d see Cardiff City in the Premier Division.
“Now we’re going to do it for a second time. It’s beyond my wildest dreams.
“It wasn’t quite right the first time we went up, but this time we are together. We’ll win together, we’ll lose together and, most importantly of all, we’ll stay together.”
The exclusive black-tie event, in association with Foster’s, started with speeches from chief executive Ken Choo, Dalman and Tan.

The fans’ player of the year award, presented by Cardiff City Supporters Club, went to captain Sean Morrison.
After thousands of votes only one per cent separated the top two with Sol Bamba coming in as an extremely close runner up.
Morrison edged it and said: “I owe a lot to Sol. I am team captain, but he’s my captain.”
