Billy Leaver struck a decisive blow for Carmarthen Town in their FAW Youth Cup win against Caldicot Town away.

The tie was goalless until two minutes from the end of extra time when Leaver scored to hand his team a place in the last eight.

Their reward is a home tie against Connah’s Quay Nomads on Sunday, February 11.

Llandudno entertained Cefn Druids at Giant Hospitality Stadium and the hosts started brightly with Aron Hughes and Morgan Owen going close.

The first half ended goalless, but Llandudno were rocked when Joe Carey had to go off injured.

His replacement, Osian Jones, was full of energy and led the line well with Aron Hughes playing just behind him.

Iwan Jones was played through and his cutback picked out Sean Mcaffrey’s run and he slotted home.

Llandudno’s second goal quickly followed after a Mcaffery corner was spilled by goalkeeper Adam Jones and the ball was judged to have crossed the line.

Jones made amends soon after when Morgan Owen went for goal and his shot took a deflection deflected. The effort was superbly tipped round a post.

Druids pushed for a goal, but the Llandudno rear-guard held firm to maintain the clean sheet and progress into the quarter finals where they play Airbus UK Broughton at home.

Airbus won 2-1 at Flint Town United. It was their second win in the space of four days against Flint, having won 3-1 in the Development League (North).

Flint went ahead when Tom Burrows scored, but they were reduced to 10 men when they had a player sent off and Airbus hit back to win.

Holders Swansea City have been drawn at home against Newport County following their 4-0 win at Barry Town United, while Cardiff City will entertain Aberystwyth Town in the last eight.

The young Bluebirds won 6-0 against Briton Ferry Llansawel at Vale Resort.

Manager Craig Bellamy and his team scored five goals in a 23-minute first half spell.

Isaak Davies (11 and 24 mins), Mark Harris (19) and James Waite (26) were on target before Cardiff made it 5-0 from a 34th minute penalty.

Sam Parsons was brought down and Harris scored from the spot, firing into the top left hand corner.

Isaak Davies and substitute Amir Sharif both hit a post during the second half, while Jack Bodenham scored City’s sixth goal after 86 minutes.
