Missed out on a ticket to the Glastonbury Festival this year? Fear not, as you can head to Glast-On-Dee instead on Friday to mix live music with a seven-race Jumps card at the track.

That’s right. Bangor-On-Dee Racecourse hosts its latest card on Friday afternoon and evening, with live music before and after the card off the track.

On the track, racing gets underway at 5.40pm with a three-mile handicap in class four before rounding off with a handicap hurdle in class five at 9pm to complete the card.

Read below to find out the latest Horse racing betting tips for the Bangor-On-Dee card.

The opener (5.40) sees a decent field of 11 head to the start for the three-mile handicap chase for horses older than five. Favori De Sivola has dropped to a whopping 13lb below his last winning mark and showed signs of a recovery at Newton Abbot three weeks ago so is taken to get a much overdue win on Friday. Of his rivals, Justshortofabubble rated as the main danger, a winner over course and distance last season and is back over fences having blown the cobwebs off this Summer with two runs over hurdles.

Race two on the Bangor-On-Dee card (6.13) is the two mile and four furlong handicap chase, with ten runners set to take on the trip. Steppenwolf was a very competent winner for trainer David Pipe on debut for that yard at Ffos Las three weeks ago and despite being hiked up 8lb in the weights here, appears to have more than enough to counter that and follow up at Bangor.

Ten runners will take on the third race of the meeting at 6.48, a novices’ handicap hurdle over the extended two-mile trip. Preference in race three goes to Therapist for the high-profile Nicky Henderson yard, with top pilot Nico De Boinville on board, who has really got to grips with handicapping having won his last two spins and bids for a hat-trick here while defying a 4lb penalty.

The midway point of the card is reached at 7.23 with the 2m3f handicap hurdle in class three , the feature race of the meeting with £10,406 up for grabs to the winner. Kaleb, trained by Amy Murphy, looks to be the one most likely to scoop the top prize, having won last time out at Market Rasen to follow-up a near miss at Southwell prior to that.

Division one of the class four mares’ maiden hurdle is race five on the Bangor card at 7.58, where the Anthony Honeyball-trained Briefly has shown steady progression in bumpers and a fine second on hurdles debut, so should take all the beating here. The main danger can come from Walk Of The Roses, a previous bumper winner who returned after a year off to finish second in a Newton Abbot novice last month.

The penultimate race on the card is in division two of the class four mares’ maiden hurdle (8.30), with preference heading to Final Escape, a bumper second on debut in Galway and sold for 40,000 Guineas to the Oliver and Josh Guerreiro yard who is entitled to go well in what looks a pretty ordinary contest at Bangor.

Finally the card comes to a close with the two mile and seven furlong handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys (9.00) and there isn’t much form on show to suggest there can be a clear winner. Perhaps the best of them is Grass’s Jet, a runner-up in his sole Irish point-to-point outing before being scooped up by the aforementioned Guerreiro’s and was fourth of ten at Taunton over the timer before making that switch.
