Gareth Bale has returned to Real Madrid after being ruled out of Wales’ Nations League game against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Tuesday.
Bale had looked certain to miss the game against the Republic but the FAW confirmed on Sunday (October 14) that he was returning to his club.
The 29-year-old missed Wales’ 4-1 defeat by Spain in a friendly last Thursday.
Bale’s Real face Levante in La Liga and then have a Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen before travelling to Barcelona for the first El Clasico on October 28.
