Anna Hursey is in a finely-contested battle for the ETTU Europe Youth Top 10 Table Tennis event in Berlin.
The Cardiff schoolgirl is one of four payers who go into the final day level on 11 points from a possible 12.
And Hursey will face two of them in the final three matches in the shape of Germany’s Annett Kaufmann and Mia Griesel
The 14-year-old began the second day of competition with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Jele Stotz.
Hursey took the decisive game 13-11 against the German to make it four wins out of four.
But her perfect record was ended in her next match as France’s Charlotte Lutz came out on top 3-1.
Lutz is the other player to have only lost one match so far.
Hursey quickly bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Ireland’s Sophie Earley in her final match.
The final day of competition will also see her facing Helena Sommerova of the Czech Republic.
