Teenage talent Aidan Hislop saved his best till last in the British Diving Championships as he moved into fifth place in the Men’s platform event.
The 15-year-old Plymouth-based diver, who will become the first Welsh diver in 20 years to go to the Commonwealth Games in April, just held off Scottish rival Lucas Thompson to finish behind Plymouth Diving team mate Matthew Dixon, Matty Lee, Noah Williams and Kyle Kothari.
Hislop was far more at home off the 10 metre platform than the 3 metre one, in which he finished seventh. His marks for the six dives ranged between 37.70 and 77 points in the 3 metre event, while his final three dives off the higher platform were all in the 70s.
