One of Wales’ biggest motorsport events takes place on Thursday and Friday, when 500 riders take part in the Mid Wales Centre ACU International Welsh 2 Day Enduro.
Competitors from around the world, including an eight-man sidecar team from Australia, will compete over a single 150-mile long course near Llandrindod Wells.
First run in 1951, the event has become a classic in the enduro motorbike and sidecar world – with many making the annual passage to Powys for this extraordinary event.
One of the favourites for sidecar victory this year are Alun Davies / James Ferguson from Caio in Carmarthenshire, who will carry the number one plate on their Husqvarna VMC 610cc.
They will be first to leave the start line at The Lakeside Llandrindod at precisely 08.01 on Thursday morning – with the 150 stage mile timed route repeated on Friday.
Spectators are advised to watch on the special tests rather than venture onto private farms or Natural Resources Wales land, with the first timed test located between Llandrindod Well and the village of Crossgates.
