Accrington Stanley arrive in South Wales in search of title glory on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Manager John Coleman and his Stanley team need one point from their final three matches to be crowned League Two champions and he says: “The boys want all nine points available.”
Accrington have already clinched promotion to League One and won 4-0 against Wycombe Wanderers in their last match with Coleman saying: “We are relishing the challenge right now.
“Wycombe Wanderers are a quality team with a good manager and I genuinely hope they follow us up.
“Now we face a Newport team who will pose us all sorts of problems. Another good team with a manager who is doing a terrific job.
“I can’t praise our lads enough because they have been magnificent all season. I’ve known what these players are about all season and they won’t let it go now.
“We want to win the league in style, we’re not there yet, but we will keep battling away until we do. I’m lucky and blessed to have a great group of lads who work their socks off every day.
“You physically could get any more out of them, they have been brilliant all season.”
Goals from former Wrexham striker Kayden Jackson, who has scored 16 goals this season, Scott Brown, Sean McConville and a penalty from Offrande Zanzala earned Newport’s win against manager Gareth Ainsworth and his Wanderers team.
Newport hopes of earning promotion via the play-offs have now gone, but they are looking to secure back-to-back home league victories for the first time since January.
Manager Michael Flynn is also demanding a big reaction after County’s dismal display against Barnet in their last match.
Stanley are the form team in League Two, having earned 16 points from their last six league matches, while the Lancashire club have only dropped seven points from 19 games in 2018.
Coleman’s team have a remarkable ability to ensure close matches go in their favour and have won 10 of their 16 victories by the odd goal.
Promotion was confirmed in a 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town when Billy Kee scored twice, taking his goals tally to 25 for the season, to spark wild celebrations at the Wham Stadium.
Accrington are unbeaten in 15 games, could well name the same starting side for the fifth successive game and have only named 12 different players in their starting line-up over the last nine fixtures.
