Kerry Morgan has rejoined Southern League Premier club Merthyr Town.
Former Swansea City player Morgan helped home-town cub Merthyr win the Division One South and West title two years ago before moving on to Port Talbot, Mangotsfield and Cirencester.
Now the 28-year-old, who has also played for Newport County and Neath, is back after agreeing a deal with manager Gavin Williams.
Morgan came through the Swansea City youth ranks to join the first team squad and was loaned to Port Talbot Town in August 2007 until January 2008, when he returned to the Liberty Stadium.
He went on a season-long loan spell to Neath in July 2008 and returned to The Gnoll in May 2011 following his release by the Swans and two seasons on-loan at Newport County.
After the demise of Neath FC, he moved on to Bath City and then Merthyr, returning to the Welsh Premier League with Port Talbot Town in January 2016.
Morgan will link up with new signing Stuart Fleetwood, who started his career with Cardiff City, in the Merthyr Town team.
At the age of 16, Fleetwood was quicker than Bluebirds goals ace Robert Earnshaw had been at the same age, running 11.3 seconds for the 100 metres.
Fleetwood, 31, and Morgan are preparing to help Merthyr Town push on towards promotion from Southern League football next season.
Manager Williams is working hard on player recruitment for 2017-18.
He has confirmed that Keyon Reffell has moved on to Hereford, while Josh Bull has left Penydarren Park because of work commitments.
The Martyrs have arranged nine pre-season fixtures, including three when they will select a mixture of players from the development first team squads.
The extra fixtures arranged for a Merthyr Town XI are against Penrhiwfer AFC, to celebrate their club’s 50 year anniversary, Caerau Ely and Pontlottyn away.
Academy Manager Philip Llewellyn said: “It’s a good opportunity for our younger squad members to play alongside members of the first team and come face to face with senior opposition.
“It will help with their development and hopefully they will be more prepared if called upon to play for the first team.”
