Tyreeq Bakinson, one of the heroes of Newport County’s famous FA Cup win over Leicester City last weekend, has agreed a loan extension until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old Bristol City midfielder has made 27 appearances in all competitions since joining the Exiles in the crossing the Prince of Wales Bridge in the summer.
Bakinson has five assists and one goal to his name, the winner in the 1-0 away win over Oldham Athletic last September.
The Camden-born former Luton product came on as a second-half sub in the 2-1 win over the Foxes which earned Mike Flynn’s side a fourth-round trip to Middlesbrough.
